Our list of the most beautiful landscape observation points in the world.
- Prague.
Prague has a few points of view on this beautiful city worth getting to. We loved the Prague “Eiffel Tower” Petrin Tower, the Cathedral of St. Vitus in the main square of Prazsky Hrad.
- Paris.
Paris also has a few points with stunning views. The Arc de Triomphe, the Montparnasse Tower and of course the Eiffel Tower. When the Eiffel Tower was built, Parisians not so liked it if not more, so they liked to sit in a cafe in the top of the tower because they said it was the only place where you can look over the city without seeing the Eiffel Tower itself.
- Ramon Canyon in the southern Israel.
Who wants to see views of Mars does not have to fly there with a NASA one-way ticket flight. You just can reach Mitzpe Ramon and look at the endless beauty of the desert.
- Haifa Bay and the Bahai Gardens in northern Israel.
Well, the most beautiful scenic view in this country is the view from Louis Promenade in Haifa on the bay, the Bahá’í gardens and the most beautiful city in Israel. If that’s not enough for you, you’ll find a way to get to the Haifa University building and see from there 360-degree panorama of Haifa.
- Li River in China.
On a 4-hour cruise on the Li River you will see views of mountains you have not seen anywhere else.
- China rice fields from the village Ping An Zhuang
When you stand in one of the villages and look at the rice terraces, this is the picture of real China.
- Hong Kong view from Victoria Peak
The famous viewpoint of Hong Kong must be visited both in daylight and in darkness.
- New York
I was in New York in March 2001, before the 9/11. But unfortunately I went only to the observation deck of the Empire State Building and did not manage to get to the roof of the Twins. The scenery is still gorgeous, but today it is probably worth going up to the observation point at the new WTC in the world capital cuty.
- The lakes Bohini and Bled in Slovenia
In Slovenia we were very impressed by the two lakes that are so different from each other. Come and see for yourself which lake you prefer, Bohini lake from Vogel or Bled lake from the Castle.
- Plitvice in Croatia
The most beautiful place in Croatia in my opinion is the Plitvice National Park, and this lakes landscape is its highlight.
- Chamonix Mont Blanc
Above this French ski town, there are two observations I particularly liked. Les Houches ski area and Aiguille du Midi at 13 Kft hight.
- “5 Fingers” in Austria
In the Dachshtein Mountains above the town of Hallstadt there is an observation point with stunning views over the 5 Austrian lakes.
- Königsee and Obersee in Germany
In the Bavarian Alps there is a beautiful lake Königsee, but there is an even more beautiful hidden place. Upon arrival on the boat to the last station on the lake, walk a few minutes to a small lake Obersee and look at this beauty.
- Tibidabo park in Barcelona
At the top of Mount Tibidabo in Barcelona is an amusement park for children in retro style. Climbing a mountain in an old tram, is an attraction by itself. The park offers stunning views of the city and the sea.
- Kotor Bay in Montenegro
When you climb from the city of Kotor on a winding road to the north, you can admire the beautiful view of the bay and the surrounding mountains.
- Vikos Canyon in Greece
In Northern Greece, in the Zagoria region, there is the Vikos Canyon, the deepest in the world. Half an hour walk from the parking lot to the most impressive viewing point “Beloi”.
- Meteora in Greece
Anyone who comes to Greece must visit this place, with six monasteries scattered throughout the mountains since the 11th century. The most beautiful view in my opinion – the view from the rock called “Panorama”. From there you can see the five monasteries.
- Lake Strbske Pleso in Slovakia
In the High Tatras mountains in the north of Slovakia you will find an amazing resort town and a lake. You can make a route around the lake or take a boat.
- Kinkakuji in Kyoto.
In Kyoto, there are about 800 Buddhist and Shinto temples, but the most beautiful is certainly the Golden Pavilion in an amazing Japanese park with lakes and winding paths.
