6 days around Lake Garda in northern Italy at the end of September.
Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy, and it is an excellent starting point for trips to the north of the country. We also went for a day to the Dolomites, but I suggest to stay for a few more days in that region, and not to return to Garda every day, since it is more than two hours away.

Bergamo Airport near Milan is 1:40 hours drive from our house that we rented on the east coast of Garda, high in the mountains.
There are some advantages and disadvantages of this house, you decide what is more important.
Lavacetto Agriturismo is an estate high in the mountains, surrounded by a forest with a beautiful view of Lake Garda. Around silence and tranquility, a heavenly place.
The problem is that from the lake there is a winding mountain road, on which you have to pass twice a day.

Venice – what a stunningly beautiful city! I just fell in love with this city and did not want to leave. Venice is amazing! I do not understand people who said that everything is dirty and stinking, Venice is beautiful. There is not even a feeling of many tourists at the end of September.
The trip to Venice took us about two hours. We left the car in a ten-story parking lot for 35 euros per day.
After that, we crossed the bridge and took the waterbus number 1 to Piazza San Marco. The ticket costs only 7 euros right at the newsstand near the quays. The main thing is not to take the wrong number of the boat. Number 1 goes 45 minutes along the entire Grand Canal.
Back to the parking, we just walked across Venice through the small streets and bridges along the little canals.
