11 days in the region of Alsace, France with children (2 and 5 years old) at the beginning of August.
Alsace on the eastern border of France with Germany – is a wine region with towns and villages like from the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The area once belonged to Germany, so the architecture is different from the French.

Day 1:
Frankfurt Airport.
By car from the airport to the house Les Jardins du Temps in Alsace, in the Illzach town.
Day 2:
Villages Kaysersberg and Eguisheim.
Butterflies Park in the Hunawihr village
Day 3:
Museum of vintage cars in the city of Mulhouse.
City of Freiburg in Germany.
Day 4:
A trip to the Vosges Mountains on the Route des Cretes road near Grand Balloon.
The lake – Lac Langemer.
Day 5:
Monkey Park Montagne Des Signes.
The festival and parade of flower statues in Selestat.
Day 6:
Lakes in the mountains of Vosges: Lac Vert, Lac Noir, Lac Blanc – before reaching the lake there is a small barefoot route (Lac Blanc’s barefoot trail).
There is also a rope park on the trees.
Day 7:
Riquewihr town on the wine road.
Haut Koenigsbourg castle.
Day 8:
Todtnau Hasenhorn Rodelbahn in Germany.
The little folk’s trail on the Feldberg mountain, where the characters of fairy tales are spread in the forest. The trail is not suitable for a stroller.
Day 9:
The pool in Mulhouse due to the rainy weather.
Thousand lakes region Ballon d’Alsace, Lac d’Alfeld, Parc Naturel des Ballons des Vosges.
Day 10:
Colmar – the main city in Alsace.
Day 11:
Amusement Park Steinwasen in Germany.
The town of Baden Baden.

Day 1:
Frankfurt Airport
By car from the airport to the house Les Jardins du Temps in Alsace, in the Illzach town.
The place is called Les Jardins du Temps. Family of landscape designers have made beautiful flower park with small lakes, and in this park they have apartments for rent. Everything is done with taste and with love. They are also own a tourist agency, so they will provide you with any information and answer any questions with pleasure.
Day 2:
Villages Kaysersberg and Eguisheim. Houses like Christmas decorations, stork nests on the roofs, a magic atmosphere.

Day 3:
Museum of vintage cars, one of the largest in Europe in the city of Mulhouse.
I had one like this when i was a child (the green one, not the Bugatti:)
We drove to the Black Forest in Germany to the city of Freiburg. We bought two wooden toy boats near the main square and kids played with it in small water channels all over the old city, a mandatory program for children.
Day 4:
A trip to the Vosges Mountains on the Route des Cretes road near Grand Balloon. Swimming in the lake Lac Langemer.
Day 5:
Monkey Park Montagne Des Signes.
The annual festival and parade of huge flower statues in the town of Selestat. Each year at different time, so follow their site on the Internet.
Day 6:
Lakes in the mountains of Vosges: Lac Vert – the route to the waterfall near the lake, Lac Noir – restaurant by the lake, Lac Blanc – before reaching the lake there is a small barefoot route 1.2 km (Lac Blanc’s barefoot trail), is very interesting for children. There is also a rope park on the trees, but it is for older children.
I just want to get on my bike and to make a downhill with them.
Day 7:
On the wine road there is a beautiful town – Riquewihr.
Haut Koenigsbourg castle on top of the mountains with breathtaking view of the valley.
Day 8:
Again, driving to the Black Forest in Germany at the Todtnau town there is a Hasenhorn Rodelbahn, but the queue is quite long, so come in the morning and not at weekends.
On the Feldberg Mountain near the cable car there is a wonderful trail in the forest for 1.5 hours, where the characters of fairy tales are spread in the forest (The little folk’s trail). The trail is not suitable for a stroller.
Day 9:
Due to the rainy weather in the morning we went to the pool in Mulhouse.
When the sky cleared up we drove to a less populated region of thousand lakes Ballon d’Alsace, Lac d’Alfeld, Parc Naturel des Ballons des Vosges.
In Alsace you can meet The Merlin near your house.
Day 10:
Colmar – the main city in Alsace and a must to visit
Day 11:
Amusement Park Steinwasen Park in Germany and on the way to the Frankfurt Airport, we visited the city of Baden Baden.
